Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us.
PuzzleBuddy is a relaxing, offline jigsaw puzzle. We believe you should be able to enjoy the app without creating an account, being tracked, or sharing personal information.
Playing PuzzleBuddy
You can play without an account, an email address, or an internet connection. The app has no ads and does not integrate third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
PuzzleBuddy processes photos you select locally and creates puzzle images and thumbnails on your device. It does not automatically upload imported photos, puzzle progress, completion times, or your optional player name and birthday to Adrondak.
Local Storage
PuzzleBuddy saves information in the app's local storage to let you pick up where you left off.
This includes:
- saved puzzles
- puzzle progress
- your Journey history of completed puzzles
- best completion times
- photos you import to make your own puzzles
- the thumbnails PuzzleBuddy creates from those photos
- an optional first name, if you add one
- an optional birthday, month and day only
- app preferences
Depending on your device and backup settings, this local data may be included in Apple-managed iCloud backups or computer backups. Adrondak does not control those backups.
Optional Support and Feedback
Support and feedback are optional. If you choose to email support@adrondak.com, we receive your message, your sender email address and any sender name, and any other information you choose to include.
The app's bug-report drafts include your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, and app version and build. You can review and edit the draft before choosing to send it through your email app. PuzzleBuddy does not automatically attach your photos, saved puzzles, player name, or gameplay records.
Support messages go to the founders' ordinary email inbox and are read and answered manually. We do not use a separate support platform, CRM, ticketing system, or automated support analytics system.
Website Contact Form
When you choose Contact Support in the app, the support website opens externally. Visiting the website is a separate interaction from playing PuzzleBuddy.
The contact form asks for your name, email address, subject, and message. Device model, operating-system version, puzzle category, and difficulty are optional. We use these details to respond to your request and investigate the issue you describe.
The website also processes IP addresses and submission times to limit repeated messages and help prevent spam. Rate-limit files contain timestamps and use an IP-derived hash in the filename. The form uses a session and security token to help protect submissions. Hosting services may also keep access and error logs.
The form sends your message and the details you entered through our email service. It does not add your raw IP address or a separate submission timestamp to the email body. Email services may include normal delivery metadata, such as the time an email was sent.
Providers, Retention, and Deletion Requests
Hosting and email providers may process information necessary to operate the website, protect the form, and deliver and store support email. Messages may remain in email inboxes and provider backups; website sessions, rate-limit records, and logs may remain in hosting storage. How long these records remain depends on provider settings and applicable retention obligations. We do not specify a fixed retention period here.
You can request deletion of support information by emailing support@adrondak.com. Please use the email address you contacted us from and provide enough detail to locate the message. We may need to verify the request. Deletion is subject to applicable retention obligations and technical limitations, including provider systems and backups; we cannot promise immediate or complete deletion from every system.
You manage puzzle data through the app and your device's storage and backup controls. Because PuzzleBuddy does not automatically upload that data to Adrondak, we cannot remotely delete the local copies for you.
Apple Services
Apple may collect diagnostics and usage information through its platform services, depending on your settings and Apple's policies. This is separate from an analytics SDK integrated into PuzzleBuddy. You can review Apple's privacy and backup settings on your device.
Children's Privacy
Playing PuzzleBuddy does not require a child or adult to send us personal information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child sent us information through support, please contact support@adrondak.com to request review or deletion under the process above.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised policy date.
